Authentication supports your Investment
All 2019 models and newer include an Official Certificate of Authenticity from Slighter Golf Co.
If you purchased your putter prior to 2019, or are having it customized or restored, you should take this opportunity to have it authenticated. If you ever want to insure, donate, sell or pass down your putter, our authentication service removes all doubt of its authenticity – – preserving your investment and maintaining the integrity of the Slighter Golf brand.
What is Authentication?
When Slighter Golf Co authenticates your putter, we examine it to determine its authenticity to ensure that it is truly a Slighter Golf putter and that any changes made to it were performed by Slighter Golf Co.
We examine all of the following aspects of your putter: shape, finish, shaft, grip, stamping, paintfill, and weight to establish the level of authenticity of your putter. We will also check your putter specifications against our purchase and modification registry.
We make sure to describe and record any aftermarket changes that have been made to your putter in our registry. We do not make “grade” distinctions; our process is unbiased and based completely on the facts of the putter or merchandise received.
We also check the putter against the purchase records for specific proprietary indications that ensure it isn’t a counterfeit. Due to high levels of fraud in the putter industry, this step is an important part of our Official Authentication Process, and why we require that the putter be sent to Slighter Golf headquarters to be inspected prior to issuing any certificate.
Official Certificate of Authenticity
When Slighter Golf Co verifies your putter, you will receive a printed certificate of authenticity (COA). We will also establish a permanent record of your putter in our authentication database, which allows your Slighter Golf putter to be verified at any time, with or without your printed certificate of authenticity.
Domestic Return shipping is discounted to $15. International Shipping rates will apply in full to putters going outside of the US and will be invoiced after purchase.
